Braker Lane, Suite 200, Austin, Texas 78759<\/p>\n<p>In quantum mechanics, atoms are described by wave functions that can be split into superposition and be recombined to interfere. Atom interferometers are textbook illustrations of such non-classical phenomena, where atoms are manipulated by laser pulses. Due to relying on intrinsic properties of atoms, atom interferometer measurements are accurate and stable. These unique properties have been exploited for precision metrology and sensing.<\/p>\n<p>In this talk, we will briefly introduce the fundamentals of atom interferometry and its applications in space.
